What you can download

Public reels and post videos are saved from the Reels shortcut. Story clips are saved from Stories. Live replays, private, age-restricted, or blocked media may be unavailable.

Steps

Choose Reels on the home shortcuts, then type a username to open that account’s Reels. Paste a Reel or post video URL to see download results on the same page. Use Stories for story clips. Files save with a browser download or to your device photo library.

Please note

We don’t bypass private accounts. Keep downloads for personal viewing only—no redistribution or commercial use. Creator and music rights still apply.

Reels vs other videos

For reels-only workflows, choose Reels on home and enter a username or /reel/ URL. Story videos can be opened from the Stories shortcut first.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download Instagram Reels?

Yes—public reels can be saved from the Reels shortcut with a username or /reel/ URL. Private or deleted reels are not supported.

Will the file include sound?

Usually yes, if the source video has audio. Silent originals or platform limits may yield mute files.

Is audio included in the download?

If Instagram’s public stream includes audio, it is saved with the video. Quality may differ from the original upload.

Where can I play the file?

Most phones and computers that play MP4 can open it. Check your browser download or device photo library.
